Market
A smaller market with national reach
Perth supports fewer major agency offices than Sydney or Melbourne, but several of Australia’s established networks operate locally. Vivien’s says its four-state structure lets talent move between markets, while Chadwick maintains a dedicated Perth division alongside Sydney and Melbourne.
For a Perth-based model, that national infrastructure is part of the market itself: local representation does not have to mean a purely local career.
Vivien’s has had a Perth presence since the 1990s, while Chadwick’s current network links the city with its east-coast offices. That continuity matters in a market where a national agency connection can be as important as the size of the local runway calendar.

Perth offers both traditional fashion routes and broader commercial representation. These four current pathways show how different the entry points can be.

Directory in Perth
The Directory currently lists 6 published local organisations, all modeling agencies. Use it for contacts and application routes; this guide remains the place for market context.
Fashion is spread across several local platforms
Perth does not currently revolve around one single dominant fashion week. In 2026, AGWA’s sold-out Pulse runway brought together student designers from Curtin and both North and South Metropolitan TAFE, while Circular Fashion Festival and Eco Fashion Week Australia added sustainability-led runway programmes later in the year.

The calendar is active rather than concentrated. Circular Fashion Festival runs across spring 2026, while Eco Fashion Week Australia brings another Perth runway programme at the end of October. The common thread is local design and sustainability rather than one central industry week.
Screen production adds another commercial layer
Screenwest actively funds and attracts film, television and digital production in Western Australia, including projects shot in Perth and Fremantle. That production economy does not equal modeling work directly, but it supports a wider casting, stills and commercial-content ecosystem around the city.
