Three different types of image work
A jewellery campaign often uses close-up portraits and detailed hands; a clothing catalogue needs accurate sizing and easy-to-read full-length digitals; an editorial may request a more expressive book. These examples are possible brief types, not an assertion that a brand currently needs a model. Match the submitted photos to the named project and check who is collecting them.
Check the usage, not only the day rate
Before a booking, get the client, photographer or production company, working hours, fittings, overtime, pay currency, permitted media and duration of image usage in writing. A test shoot for an agency is not necessarily equivalent to a paid advertising licence. A trade visitor to Fashion InStyle may attend the fair, but that does not confer permission to accept an employment assignment.
Book reliable travel between venues
The MTR's official system map and station layouts help plan routes to commercial shoots. The exhibition centre is in Wan Chai, but advertising studios can be elsewhere on Hong Kong Island, Kowloon or the New Territories. Obtain the precise studio address and nearest exit, and plan the return journey after long sessions. Check visitor work restrictions or a genuinely applicable scheme with Immigration rather than relying on a producer's informal assurance.
