City guide
How the Medellín fashion market works
Colombiamoda brings fashion brands, buyers, designers and production teams together in Medellín. Its trade dimension matters just as much as the shows: lookbooks, product photography, e-commerce and showroom presentations can involve different model profiles and schedules.
The event calendar helps you identify when the industry gathers; it does not tell you which company is hiring. Search active briefs separately and confirm the client, shooting location and image usage before committing to a project.
Directory / Castings
Find agencies and current castings
Explore published agency profiles and open casting announcements separately. An organisation listed in Directory is not necessarily recruiting today; use each verified contact route and check the requirements.

Colombiamoda and the annual calendar
The 2026 Colombiamoda programme ran from 25 to 31 July, with the trade exhibition at Plaza Mayor from 28 to 30 July. Those dates are historical, not a promise of an identical schedule for 2027. Consult the organiser before booking travel or submitting an application.
Inexmoda
Why the event is commercially relevant
Colombiamoda
Inexmoda's programme combines fashion showcases, sector knowledge and commercial activities. A collection presentation and a product catalogue may call for different types of modeling work. The organiser's public programme is not itself a model application form.

Digitals
Prepare photos that answer the brief
- Recent natural headshot with clear lighting
- Front-facing full-length photo and a clear side view
- Updated measurements and availability
- A relevant commercial portfolio; walking video only if requested for runway
Keep neutral digitals available independently of your edited portfolio. Send only the material requested by the named agency or producer. Prepare a separate portfolio for lingerie, beauty or fashion only when it matches the brief.
Castings / Smart Apply
Apply to a real opportunity, not to a fair schedule
Start with an actual casting or a published agency profile. Record the producer, date, location, payment terms, fittings and intended image rights. The fact that a brand participates in Colombiamoda does not establish an open recruitment process.
For showroom or catalogue jobs, availability and comfort with fittings can be more useful than runway material. For editorial or beauty assignments, select images that demonstrate the requested framing and expression.
Medellín
Plan appointments around the city
Medellín's public-transport network includes metro trains, Metrocable lines, trams and buses. Check the official map and service status before an appointment; travel across the Aburrá Valley can involve more than one mode. Plaza Mayor is the published venue of the 2026 trade exhibition.
Visa / work
Entry and paid assignments in Colombia
Immigration rules depend on nationality, purpose and the type of assignment. The Colombian immigration authority states that paid activity normally requires a suitable visa regardless of nationality; a visitor's tourism permission alone does not establish work rights.
Check the Colombian Foreign Ministry's visa categories and Migración Colombia's entry guidance against your contract before accepting a paid shoot or runway job. This guide does not replace a legal eligibility check.
FAQ
Practical questions
Does Colombiamoda automatically offer open model castings?
No. Colombiamoda is an industry event. Treat model auditions as separate, dated announcements from an identifiable organiser.
Can a tourist visitor take a paid modeling job?
Do not assume so. Colombian immigration guidance requires an appropriate visa for remunerated activity; confirm your individual case with official authorities.
